(meaning: "Dear Green Place"), a major city in Scotland within the United Kingdom
- as seen through the eyes of one of the sons of this great city!

Glasgow is Scotland's biggest city with a population in excess of 600,000. The city has excellent cultural, sporting and leisure facilities. To reinforce this statement, Glasgow was European City of Culture in 1990,
UK City of Architecture and Design in 1999 and European Capital of Sport in 2003.
